This one and done is a great acting class for both working actors expanding skills, stretch work, and for new actors learning specific techniques for film and television. All students will have the choice of recording their work using their own cell phones following industry standard guidelines for self taping auditions in our current acting environment. AA will also cover warm-ups for Acting and will focus on cold reading & scene study. Playback and review will be at the discretion of each student. Great for all levels and no audition required.

This acting workshop will include work on monologues, commercials, and 2-person TV and film scenes. Scripts are targeted specifically for each actor and are emailed to students prior to each class, allowing adequate time to prepare. You'll also focus on the mechanics of creating your own, effective audition tapes. Each student’s work will be filmed in class and the recordings will be emailed to them the following day.

The San Francisco Acting Academy
The San Francisco Acting Academy was founded in 2001 in collaboration with top casting professionals, actors and teachers in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is our goal to provide the space for both new and experienced actors to hone their skills and to make them more competitive in the SFBA market. We offer acting classes geared to prepare actors for the demands of auditioning and working in our new, post pandemic paradigm of self taping. Our instructors are the best in the business; not only accomplished working actors and teachers, but casting session directors, television and radio producers and theater directors. They bring a unique perspective from both sides of the camera and the casting process. Our class sizes are kept to a minimum and all of our acting workshops are taught from Smuin Center For Dance, 1830 17th St. SF CA 94103. Full vaccination required to attend.
